We bade farewell to our new friends in Santiago and continued north with plans to visit Camille and Alvaro´s cousin, Walo in La Serena. We quickly realized the Caballo viejo wasnt going to make the trek. We ended up breaking down at a toll both a couple of hours out of La Serena, smack dab in the middle of the desert and needed to call a tow truck. We sat in the car on the flatdeck of the truck for two hours and drank wine during the scenic tour of Chile´s coast. Walo was our Chilean angel once we arrived in La Serena. He helped us fix the car, gave us a place to crash and took us climbing in a number of beautiful places near the ocean.
Brumy being adorable.
The ol´ Caballo.
Attempting a fix.
And away we go in the caballo.
