Ode to Town Days.

It is true that I´ve been living like a dirtbag for the past 2 months.... one of the reasons why I love traveling. Still, every now and again it´s nice to be reminded that I am in fact a lady. Thankfully the days of being asked the awkward question, if I´m my younger brother´s younger brother are over. I may look like a gal finally, but most days I don´t feel like one. Gammers (friend Caitlin Hinton from Whitehorse) taught me the joy of what we called ¨Town Days¨. I´de been living in a tent for a month in either the desert or the mountains and needed a little primping. Gams complemented my travel style perfectly in that way... could she ever rock a town day! She would lend me her onesy and off to the market we went. Watching Gams work the stalls was like watching a caged animal once again in it´s natural habitat. Gams brought the flave back to town days and turned me into a little more of a lady. I think I may have turned her into a little more of a dirtbag.
Gams and I hammered through Pisco Elqui Valley - a unique fruitful valley in the middle of the desert. We spent three days exploring the small town before meeting back up with the boys to head north.

The caballo broke down yet again a couple hours out of San Pedro and we camped in the desert beside another Copec. The floowing morning 8 Chileans filed out of the cafe and fixed our car for us and we finally made it to San Pedro where Gams and I were going to cross the border into Bolivia!!
